Kittitas County is served by two district courts: Upper Kittitas District Court in Cle Elum and Lower Kittitas District Court in Ellensburg. Each court operates out of its own courthouse and is presided over by different judges. Although both courts are located within the same county and handle the same types of cases, their procedures and courtroom practices differ significantly.
